hello beautiful human.
i am in builder mode at the moment and almost didn't find the time to send
you a brief hello.
that little voice that says, they won't miss your silly little email, it's
ok.
but it's not about if you read or not, it's about keeping the promises
that you made to yourself.
so let's just keep it simple. i will send a much greater update next week
from some projects i am working on.

curations of the week
listened
The Extreme Crisis of Young Women — Freya India
Freya India and Chris Williamson on what the internet is doing to young
women. Identity as performance, relationships filtered through platforms,
and the strange pressure to turn every feeling into content. Worth it for
the parts where they name the incentives instead of pretending this is
just an individual willpower problem.
audiobook
Bringing Home the Dharma — Jack Kornfield
The core idea: you don't need a monastery. Awakening happens in ordinary
life, exactly as it is. Kornfield spent 40 years practicing before writing
this.
read
Sophie's World — Jostein Gaarder
A philosophy portal dressed as a novel. Sophie starts receiving strange
letters asking the impossible questions: who are you, where did the world
come from. Reading it again before sleep because it lets the brain wander
without becoming another screen.
music of the week
Love Looks Pretty on You — Nessa Barrett
soft, moody. on loop.

|
ANTHROPIC
Claude Will Stay Ad-Free
Anthropic published a piece making it explicit: no ads in Claude
products, no advertiser influence on responses. They explain why
advertising incentives and genuine helpfulness are structurally
incompatible.

XAI
Grok Launches Custom Voice Cloning
A short recording becomes a production-ready voice you can manage
inside the xAI console and deploy via API. Nobody has figured out
consent at scale yet, and these tools are shipping anyway.

|
OPENAI
ChatGPT Adds Serious Account Security
OpenAI added passkeys, security keys, recovery keys, and shorter
sessions as an optional Advanced Account Security mode. The
assistant now holds enough of people's actual work that this
stopped being a nerd side quest.

“You give but little when you give of your possessions.
It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”
